About the program

Media Foundations from Conestoga College can help you build a solid practical and theoretical grounding in creativity, video and photographic technology, written and verbal communication, and the professional use of social media and web platforms. Over two semesters, faculty with current industry experience will provide guidance as you generate ideas, write, present, capture images, and use online and social media platforms to strengthen your storytelling skills.

Careers

This program is designed to assist graduates in further academic pursuits by providing an opportunity for students to hone their skills in visual and verbal communication. A key component of this program is digital content generation and the production of a student portfolio of work that demonstrates a student’s skills and knowledge levels. Graduates have gone on to Conestoga’s Broadcast Radio, Broadcasting Television and Independent Production, and Journalism diploma programs. With a portfolio, graduates may apply to Conestoga’s Animation, Advertising and Marketing Communications, and Game – Design diploma programs.
